The K-Kids objectives are:
* To provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community.
* To develop leadership potential.
* To foster the development of a strong moral character.
* To encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation.
Activities scheduled for this school year include:
* Fundraiser for the Empty Stocking Fund
* Christmas Caroling at the Rockmart Nursing Home
* Canned Food Drive
* Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF (This program donates money to help children around the world.)
* Kiwanis Club's Pancake Breakfast
* Attend Kiwanis Club meeting
The K-Kids Club has started a recycling program at Eastside. They are collecting paper, aluminum cans, and plastic bottles. These items are collected from each homeroom daily and taken to our local recycling center. This is a great project which helps to save our natural resources. Our club hopes that this will inspire Eastside families to begin recycling at home.
