The Beta Club is a non-profit, leadership-service club for grades 5-9. Membership is an honor bestowed upon students because of their outstanding qualities of character, scholarship, and leadership. In order for students at Eastside to be invited into the Beta Club, they must have yearly averages of A's at the end of fourth grade.  Students can also be invited by achieving these grades at the end of Q1 and Q2 in fifth grade. They must maintain grades of A's and B's throughout the year in order to stay in the club. Students must also continue to exhibit good character and citizenship throughout the year in order to stay in the club.  To accept their invitation into Beta Club, students must write a five-paragraph essay about service.

Beta Club will meet after school twice a month in Mrs. Gober's room. The meetings will be on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The club will meet from 3:30 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. The students who are invited to join the Beta Club must pay a one-time fee of $30 to be a member of the club. This includes national chapter fees, local funds to help cover activity costs, and a Beta Club t-shirt.

During the year, the Beta Club leads several service-oriented activities. Some of these activities have included visiting the nursing home, hosting school clean-up days, raising funds to support the American Red Cross, sponsoring canned food drives, participating in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, and assisting with luminaries at Relay for Life. The Beta Club also attends the State Beta Convention in Macon, Georgia each year.  The Beta Club makes an annual $500.00 donation to support Eastside's Renaissance Program.
